Light work - Photography for 11 - 14 year olds

A two day course for 11-14 year olds, our first course for young people is an in-depth exploration into the technical and creative processes of photography.

Throughout the course you will use our professional studios and darkroom to create your own work of art!

This engaging course allows you to experience the entire process of creating imagery, from researching and planning your image, to creating props and scenery for your own photo shoot, and the chance to print your finished work in the darkroom.The course ends with a short group exhibition for friends and family.

‘Light Work’ offers you the opportunity to learn about photography using high quality equipment, a professional space and the support of experienced tutors.

Facilitated by Abi Horn and Claire Griffiths, two practitioners with a passion for cameras and a wealth of experience in working with young people, it promises to be a fun and enriching experience that leaves you with a unique handmade print of your own artwork and a lot of practical photographic skills Both Abi and Claire hold full, current CRB disclosures.
